About App4Scrap
Find scrap metal yards near you, compare what they pay, and recycle with confidence.
App4Scrap is a UK scrap metal directory that brings local yards, the metals they buy, and their current prices into one place. Instead of phoning around or driving between yards, you can search by location or metal, check buy prices, and pick the yard that suits you.
What you can do here
- Find yards — browse the map or list, filter by metal, distance and opening hours.
- Compare prices — see each yard’s buy prices for the metals it accepts.
- Save favourites — keep the yards you use most close at hand.
- Review yards — share how your visit went and reply in your own thread.
- Set price alerts — get an email when a yard changes its price for the metals you watch.
- List a yard — merchants can publish their own profile, opening hours and live prices.
Who is it for?
For private sellers and tradespeople, App4Scrap makes it easy to find somewhere local that pays a fair price for scrap. For merchants, it is a simple way to reach people actively looking to sell scrap metal in their area.
Where prices come from
Buy prices shown on a yard’s profile are set by that merchant and can change at any time. Market reference prices may be updated automatically from third-party providers. Always check the displayed price, or call the yard first, before you travel — prices are indicative and hours can change.
